Mosiah 13:16-19 Keep the Sabbath Day Holy

Have each of the kids bring one thing that represents an activity that is good to do on the Sabbath and one thing that represents an activity that is not good to do on the Sabbath. For example, one of the kids might bring a baseball and the scriptures. Another might bring a pair of videos: The Testaments and Harry Potter. Some families may choose not to watch movies such as Harry Potter on Sunday; others may decide that it is ok. This a good opportunity to discuss these things with the kids so both parents and kids know what is expected.

What day is the Sabbath? What do these verses say we should do on the Sabbath? What do they say we shouldn't do? What are other good things to do on the Sabbath? What are other things we should avoid on the Sabbath?

Why don't we play sports on Sunday? Are sports bad? If not, why do we avoid them on Sunday? Is it ok to take a walk? Why? Why don't we shop on Sunday? Is there some music that we should avoid on Sunday? Why? What are other good activities to do on the Sabbath? Why?
